Identified strategic capacities for effective and efficient reduction of crimes in Washoe County utilizing the Stratified Policing Business Management Module.
Helped identify and implement significant incident reporting (SIRs) and follow-up initiatives.
Set goals for 10% reduction in residential and vehicle burglaries for CY 2021.
Met goals for 10% reduction in residential burglaries for CY 2021.
Set goals and priorities to combat Violent Crime in CY 2022.
Identified measures to ensure Washoe County was capturing more crime data through Stratified Policing with respect to community engagement, neighborhood canvassing, social media outreach, and investigatory follow-up (increased mobilization of crime reporting).
Identified first problem area classification in Washoe County and supervised response strategy.
Dispatched regional team initiatives to combat cross-jurisdictional crime patterns effecting areas outside of Washoe County.
Increased the collaboration and sharing of regional intelligence information to prevent further victimization, enhance suspect identification, and resource allocation.
Empowered mid-level managers and executives to work with State and Federal Emergency Management Professionals to increase security measures across Northern Nevada and California.
Joined the STC (Security the Cities) Bay Area UASI initiative as the Eastern boarder early warning detection boundary for Nuclear / Radiological hazards and other WMD’s earmarked for Northern Nevada, Northern California, and other San Francisco Bay Area targets. This program was designed to protect its residents, visitors, critical infrastructure, and natural resources from international and domestic terrorism.
Increased the footprint within the State of Nevada DEM grant program securing funding and increasing program capacities in Special Operations, Consolidated Bomb Squad, Cyber Crimes, and Intelligence. These programs have led to the successful identification and prosecution of hundreds of predators and malcontents who would have otherwise remained undetected further victimizing the residents of our community.
Partnered with the State of Nevada Office of the Attorney General and ODMAP to help track and respond to the national opioid crisis plaguing our nation. Secured additional funding to write the regions first community response plan and target known outbreaks from both a treatment and criminal standpoint.
Established the regions first unit to combat the rising number of vulnerable persons who fall victim to human trafficking and sexual exploitation. The HEAT (Human Exploitation and Trafficking) Team continually educates and works with our local, state, and federal partners to ensure program integrity and assistance in the most heinous of cases.
